It’s time for the longest-running event on the world tour — the 29th edition of one of the biggest classics of the year, happening at Praia Grande in Sintra, Portugal.
This year, the Sintra Bodyboard Pro will count as a Rising Series event in the Men’s Division, where riders can earn 3,000 points and compete for $30,000. In the Women’s Division, it’ll be worth 1,500 points and $15,000.
Neither division will decide the world champion outright, but this event is a big deal for many athletes because it can help them improve their rankings for upcoming Prime Series events — the ArcelorMittal Wahine Bodyboard Pro in Brazil for the women, and the Gran Canaria Frontón King in Spain for the men.
Plus, the Sintra Bodyboard Pro is super important because it gives riders a chance to rack up points and stay in the hunt for the world title or crack the top of the global rankings.
The contest runs from September 3 to 7, 2025, and once again, Praia Grande in Sintra, Portugal, will be the spot where the best riders in the world gather.
