At 10:30 AM local time, the first stop of the IBC World Tour Men’s Prime Series kicked off at Anza Beach in Agadir, Morocco.
Conditions were heavy today—massive swells and some gnarly currents made it a real grind for the athletes just to paddle back out to the peak. Despite the challenge, the level of riding was insane, with some huge scores hitting the board.
The world’s best have descended on Morocco to battle for the season’s first title, looking to stack points for the World Championship crown and climb the IBC rankings.

ROUND 1
Round 1 (the trials) featured 8 heats, with only the top two from each heat moving on.
The standout of the day was Moroccan local Jmiji Salah Eddine. He didn’t just cruise through his heat in first place; he posted the day’s highest total score of 16.9. He also stuck a massive roll on a heavy set wave that earned him an 8.5—definitely a rider to keep an eye on.
A huge shoutout goes to junior athlete Lucciano Campos. Fresh off his Junior Division win in Morocco just two days ago, he made his Men’s Division debut today and took first in his heat. The young Peruvian is on a tear.
France’s Pierre Louis Boisse pulled off one of the cleanest moves of the day—a technical, perfect inverted air that got the crowd on their feet at Anza Beach.
Other top seeds moving on include Moroccan riders Mouad Kamal, Elmoutaouakil Adam, and Berrouan Abderrahmane, as well as South Africa’s Benjy Oliver and Spain’s Alexander Montes.
Also clinching spots in the next round: Moroccans Benabdeslam Achraf, Soussi Brahim, Bensed Benaissa, and Brachmi Tarik; Angelo Freda (Venezuela), Pedro de Sousa (Spain), and French riders Thibaud Berge and Irwin Cloarec.

ROUND 2
Organizers decided to run only two heats of Round 2 as conditions started to get pretty messy.
The Moroccan crew showed up big again, with all four advancing spots in these two heats going to local riders.
Congrats to Benabdeslam Achraf, Gharib Abdelhafeid, Elghzal Yassine, and Jniji Salah Eddine for breaking into the Top 32 here in Morocco.

Next check-in is scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 AM local time.
