Tuesday, August 12th, at Mehdya Beach, Kenitra, Morocco.
It all started at 9:30 AM local time with the highly anticipated fourth qualifying round for the Junior Men at the IBC World Tour, right on Mehdya Beach.
Forty riders from different countries made their way to Mehdya to show off their skills and chase their goal of making it to the big final. Remember, this event gives points to the athletes so they can secure one of the 48 spots in the grand final happening at Gran Canaria Frontón King in October.

The day started sunny and beautiful at Mehdya Beach, with small waves that grew bigger as the day went on. Conditions were super fun, and the riders treated us to some sick maneuvers.

Today’s round featured 12 heats in Round 1, with only the top two from each heat moving on to Round 2.
The standout rider of the day was Néstor Reyes from Gran Canaria, who scored the highest with a total of 14.25 points.

Other top riders moving forward as winners of their heats included Moroccan surfers Elgharbaoui Younes, Agouzul Abdelkarim, El Baz Yassine, Tarfaoui Souhail, Moumou Hamza, Chaid Ayoub, and El Moutouakil Adam — showing that the locals are really strong in this event.

International stars like Spaniards Unax Pascual and Ethan Pérez, along with French surfers Yohann Bachelard and Bleunven Mael, also made it through to Round 2.

The show was really exciting, with some crazy backflips and rolls that kept the judges busy.
