ANTOFAGASTA, CHILE – The Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival (ABF), one of the heaviest hitters on the IBC World Tour, is officially back for its 14th edition. Hosted by Club Budeo, this event has become a massive landmark that goes way beyond just a contest, packing a punch with social impact through various cultural and environmental activities.
New Scene: Stepping Up to “La Nilda”
The big news for 2026 is that the contest is moving to a new spot: “La Nilda”. This volcanic reef break offers both lefts and rights with deep barrels and perfect ramps for massive air game, guaranteeing the best show in world bodyboarding.
Title Race & World Champs
With a waiting period set from April 24th to May 5th, the festival will be the epicenter for two major divisions:
- Men Division Prime Series: With 5,000 points on the line and a $35,000 USD prize purse, this stop is going to be a total game-changer for anyone chasing the world title this season.
- Dropknee World Championship: Antofagasta has been named the only stop for this division in 2026. That means the DK World Champion will be officially crowned in Chilean waters, with a $10,000 USD prize pool up for grabs.
