We are thrilled to announce that Everyday Mehdya, in proud partnership with the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation (FRMS), will be hosting the 2025 IBC Bodyboarding World Tour Junior Men Rising Series.
This isn’t just a competition; it’s a celebration of bodyboarding’s deep roots in Morocco and the incredible talent of the next generation of riders. Mehdya is a place of history, and this August, the future will be written in its waves. Join us for an unforgettable week of world-class competition, culture, and community.

Whether you’re competing, cheering, or simply soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, here’s everything you need to know for your trip to Mehdya.
Travel Information
Getting to Mehdya is straightforward, with options available for international and regional travelers.
- Nearest Airport:
- Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA): This is the closest international airport, located just a 40-45 minute drive from Mehdya. We recommend this option for the most convenient travel experience.
- Airport pickup can be arranged upon request. Please contact us to coordinate.
- Coming by Ferry from Spain:
- For those traveling from Europe, taking a ferry to Tanger (Tangier) is an excellent option.
- From Tangier, you can take Morocco’s high-speed train, Al Boraq, to Kenitra Train Station. The journey is fast, comfortable, and scenic, taking approximately 50 minutes.
- We can arrange pickups from Kenitra station to bring you directly to Mehdya.
Accommodation
We have secured dedicated accommodation for athletes located just a short walk from the event site at Mehdya Beach. Our housing is clean, secure, and fully equipped with all the essentials to ensure a comfortable and restorative stay.

For the Athletes: Facilities & Fuel
- Free Gym Access: All international athletes will have complimentary access to the Everyday Mehdya Gym throughout the competition week. Perfect for training, stretching, and recovery.
- Ice Baths: Ice bath access is available for an extra charge to help with post-heat recovery.
- Where to Eat: Mehdya and the nearby city of Kenitra offer a fantastic range of dining options.
- Local Favorites: Don’t miss the fresh seafood and traditional Moroccan cuisine—both healthy and delicious.
- Quick & Easy: Numerous cafés offer quick bites, smoothies, wraps, and great coffee.
- Dietary Needs: Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Let us know your requirements.

- World-Class Waves: Outside of competition hours, Mehdya Beach offers perfect waves for both bodyboarding and surfing. The spot is known for its consistent sand-bottom breaks.

- Kasbah of Mehdya: Explore this historic fortress overlooking the Atlantic at the mouth of the Sebou River. With a history stretching back to the 12th century, it’s a site of incredible historical significance.
- Kenitra: The nearby city offers a lively atmosphere with bustling markets (souks) and a glimpse into modern Moroccan life.
- Evening Hangouts: We’ll be organizing evening get-togethers with live music and a great community vibe.
