THE IBC WORLD TOUR HEADS BACK TO PARADISE FOR THE 2026 MALDIVES PRO

The Asian archipelago is locking in its spot on the global stage as a Women’s Prime Series, Men’s Rising Series, and Junior Men’s Rising Series stop—this time, debuting at the legendary “Cokes” break.

The IBC World Tour is stoked to confirm the return of one of the tour’s most anticipated and photogenic stops: the MALDIVES PRO 2026. As the only Asian stop on the tour, the event is back and better than ever with a fresh setup designed to push the world’s best to the limit.

A Major Win for Women’s Bodyboarding

This year’s edition is a massive deal for the Women’s Division, officially earning Prime Series status. This isn’t just about the 3,000 ranking points on the line; it’s a clear sign of the IBC’s commitment to leveling up the women’s side of the sport. Plus, the Maldives will officially kick off the season for the women’s tour.

Meanwhile, the Men’s Rising Series will offer 2,500 points, providing a crucial platform for both up-and-comers and seasoned pros to climb the global leaderboard.

The Junior Men also get a huge opportunity to stack points in Asia. With 500 points and a $2,500 prize purse up for grabs, it’s a key stepping stone toward the Junior Men’s Grand Final at the Gran Canaria Frontón King this October.02

New Spot: Taking on “Cokes” in Thulusdhoo

The big news for 2026 is the move to Thulusdhoo Island, specifically the “Cokes” break. Famous for being one of the most powerful, fast, and consistent rights in the Maldives, Cokes breaks over a shallow reef, delivering heavy barrels that will test the grit of the world’s elite riders.

“Cokes is an explosive, technical right-hander. Its ability to produce legendary tube sections makes it the perfect stage for a Prime event,” says the organizing team.
