In 2022 the Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival (#AbfChile) celebrates its 10 years anniversary and the Budeo Sports Club (Club Deportivo Budeo) is preparing to celebrate. During all these years, the waves of Antofagasta have positioned themselves as one of the most important stops on the bodyboarding world tour. Year after year the event adds new compiementary initiatives to the competition, which through an elaborate territorial model, seeks to promote the empowerment of the community with its environment through social, cultural, and tourist activities.
This year, the ABF is positioned as the event that distributes the most points and money among the competitors. In addition, for the first time in 10 years, 5 categories will be awarded in this opportunity: Men, Women, Junior Men, Junior Women and Dropkne divisions.

ACCOMMODATION
For athletes and staff, we have accommodation available at the Complejo Deportivo Angamos, located at Av. Angamos 0933, Gran Vía sector, a university and friendly neighborhood in the south of the city. The place is about a 15 minute drive from the "Cúpula de Poder" wave, where the ABFChile takes place. There are various ways of transport through public buses and taxis alternatives, and they can all be taken just outside the sports complex.
The place has a gym and an indoor semi olympic heated pool, and just steps away, next to the complex there can be found local supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants, stores, laundry place and fast food among many other services. Located in a known and welcoming area in the city, which is also only two blocks away of the coast, with nearby restaurants, night-life activities, public beaches, sports facilities and many more touristic places to visit.

Antofagasta is a port city and regional capital in a mining area of the Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world, located in northern part of Chile. It is known for its copper production. To the north side of the city, on the Pacific coast, is the main local attraction, the natural monument “La Portada” - this huge natural arch just off the coast is home to seagulls, pelicans, occasionally seals, dolphins and a unique view of the city.
