– What was your first contact with bodyboarding and what sensations does this sport bring you?

My first contact with Bodyboard was at my father’s Surf School and also through my brother who practiced the sport. I love Bodyboarding because it makes me feel alive and in touch with nature.

 – What do you think about competition?

I love competing, mainly because I like to show my bodyboarding and also because it helps me a lot to evolve  and do my best.

 – What are your dreams within bodyboarding?

I want to be world champion.

 – What is your favorite wave and why?

My favorite wave is El Fronton because it has a perfect left and right, with tubes, ramps and good water temperature.

– Would you like to participate in the IBC World Tour circuit in the future?

Yes. I already participated in the la Sallie competition last year and it was an unbelievable experience. This year I’m super excited to participate in the Maldives stage.

– What is your favorite event within this circuit?

Maldives. Perfect waves, warm water. Everything I like most

 – Do you have any role models in bodyboarding?

My role models are my father, because he always encouraged me to surf and supported my dreams. Jorge Hernandez and Pirpo because they are two juniors with a lot of talent and Pierre Louis Costes because he is simply number 1 and does everything perfectly

– Do you have any other hobbies?

I play football at my local club and I really like video games

 – Is there anyone who has helped you grow in this sport?

Without a doubt my club, Clube Naval Povoense, and my coaches, of which my father is a member. My family also helps me and supports me a lot.

– What would you say to young people who want to start in this sport?

I would say that Bodyboard is a fantastic sport, because it’s a lot of fun, being in the water with friends, traveling and experiencing new waves and cultures. It’s easy to get started and anyone of any age can have fun at sea.

  • Tell us about your future projects:

I want to travel the world, to compete in the best events, but also to freesurf, meet new people and realities. I also really like studying and I want to take a higher education course but I’m not sure which one yet.

  • Here is your space to thank or say whatever you feel like:

I want to thank my family, my club, my sponsors, Onetwoone and Moreybodyboard, and everyone who likes and supports me.
