Jacaraípe Beach, Brazil – September 2025 – A decade after her last world crown, Alexandra Rinder has officially reclaimed her place at the top of women’s bodyboarding. With a spectacular performance at the ArcelorMittal Wahine Bodyboarding Pro 2025, the final stop of the IBC Women’s World Tour, the Canary Islands rider secured her third world championship title.
Born in 1998 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Austrian and German parents, Rinder began bodyboarding at the age of nine and joined the professional circuit at just 12. In 2014, at only 16 years old, she stunned the world by becoming the youngest women’s world champion in history, before repeating the feat in 2015.
Far from stepping away, Rinder continued to compete throughout the following years, consistently challenging for podium finishes and cementing her reputation as one of the most complete riders on tour. For ten seasons she remained at the forefront of the sport, inspiring a new generation while relentlessly chasing another crown.
At Jacaraípe, against fierce competition and under the eyes of a packed Brazilian crowd, Rinder showcased her trademark combination of power, flow, and tactical intelligence. Her victory sealed the 2025 IBC Women’s World Title, closing a ten-year gap since her last crown and marking a historic return to glory.
With this third world title, Alexandra Rinder joins the select group of multiple-time champions and further strengthens her legacy in bodyboarding. Her career now tells a story of precocious brilliance, resilience through a long wait, and ultimate triumph at the highest level.
Rinder’s reconquest proves that true champions are not only defined by how early they arrive but by how long they endure.
