Praia do Solemar in Serra played host to Day 4 of the ArcelorMittal Wahine Pro 2026. It was a quick day on the water, focused entirely on Round 3 of the Junior Women's division, where the sport’s rising stars put on an absolute show, capped off by the very first perfect 10 of the event.
That massive score officially triggers the "Bela's 10" award, a special trophy created by the Wahine Pro to honor the late Isabela "Bela" Nogueira. Bela, a Brazilian and global bodyboarding legend who passed away earlier this year, left behind a legacy that continues to inspire both on and off the board.
Junior Women – Round 3
Highlights With three riders per heat and only top-two advancing to Round 4, the pressure was on. Here’s how the action unfolded:
• Emie Padois (France): Hands down the performer of the day. Emie linked together a super technical combo of rolls, spinners, and reverses to scoop the event's first 10. She also dropped the highest heat total of the entire event so far with a staggering 18.25 out of 20.
• Luana Dourado (Portugal): Stayed super consistent, bringing her signature smooth style and flow to rack up a solid 14.25 combined score
• Alice Teotonio (Portugal): The defending champ proved why she’s the one to beat, comfortably taking her heat with a huge lead.
• Sophia Veiga (Brazil): Used her local knowledge to dominate her heat and lock in first place over some heavy competition.
• Emiliana González (Chile):Clutch performance in the tightest heat of the day, where less than 0.75 points separated all three riders.
• Sofia Pinheiro (Portugal): Closed out the day on a high note, taking the final heat victory over powerhouses Karen Souza and Hannah Saavedra.
Next Call Event organizers have called for all athletes and crew to be ready on Tuesday, September 15. The first check-in is set for 7:30 AM local time, with a tentative 8:00 AM start for the first heat.
