DAY 3 AT THE 2026 ARCELORMITTAL WAHINE BODYBOARD PRO

JACARAÍPE, ESPÍRITU SANTO (BRAZIL) – SEPTEMBER 13, 2026

Following yesterday's unforgettable community day, competition was back on this Sunday at the 2026 ArcelorMittal Wahine Bodyboard Pro. Day 3 saw action across the Junior Women, Women, and Master Women divisions, with riders putting on a masterclass despite tricky wave conditions in Jacaraípe.

Today's schedule featured Junior Women Round 1 and Elimination/Repechage, Women Round 2, and Master Women Elimination/Repechage.

JUNIOR WOMEN: THE GROMS STEP UP The next generation kicked off the morning with non-elimination Round 1. With many of these young riders double-dipping in the Pro Women division, the depth of talent was on full display.

• Luana Dourado (POR): Stole the show by chaining together two heavy waves for back-to-back 8.50s, dropping a 15.00 two-wave total the highest heat total of the day in her division to prove once again she’s one of the best on the planet.

Sophia Veiga (BRA): Locked in an early 8.50, allowing her to stay loose, enjoy the heat, and punch a direct ticket to the next round.

• Alice Teotonio (BRA): The defending champ came out swinging, comfortable taking top spot in her heat with a solid 13.75 total.

• Hannah Saavedra (PER): Put together a strong performance, landing clean el rollos to advance ahead of Portugal’s Carolina Dias in a tight heat.

• Emie Padois (FRA) & Emiliana González (CHI): Both put on stellar performances to win their respective heats.

JUNIOR WOMEN REPECHAGE: SECOND CHANCES TAKEN With main-board spots on the line, the repechage heats brought heavy battle:

• Mayra Goncalvez (BRA): Shined in tough surf, linking multiple maneuvers on a single wave to score an 8.50.

• Manuella Giacomassi (BRA): Put on a clutch performance to keep her event alive.

• Simoa Bongiorno (CHI): Dominated her heat from start to finish to stamp her ticket back into the main draw.

WOMEN ROUND 2: NICOLE CALHEIROS DROPS DAY’S HIGH SCORE The premier division delivered four absolute nail-biters:

• Nicole Calheiros (BRA): Posted the single highest wave score of the entire day with a 9.00, linking clean spinners and el rollos in tough conditions. The reigning Junior champ proved she has all the firepower needed to challenge for the Pro crown.

• Joselani Amorim (BRA): Delivered a standout heat, landing a squeaky-clean el rollo for an 8.25 and a massive 14.50 heat total.

• Dulce Agüero (CRC): Put Costa Rican bodyboarding on the map, displaying razor-sharp technique to advance in first place.

MASTER WOMEN: HIGH-STAKES REPECHAGE The veterans gave it everything to stay alive in the main draw:

• Heat 1: Ended in a dramatic dead heat, with Brazilians Elizangela Fragoso and Joselani Amorim tying at 13.00 points apiece, both advancing after a masterclass performance.

• Heat 2: Clarissa Barros (BRA) locked down a direct spot in the main draw with a solid 7.25 wave, while compatriot Elisania Rodrigues also did what was needed to advance.
