Welcome to the opening ceremony of the Walker Bay Pro 2022! We were greeted by the sounds of the Botrivier Marimba Band the beautiful background of Onrus Beach welcoming our international and local riders and guests to MILK ON THE BEACH cafe.
A drink on arrival started off the ceremony after which was The Whale Crier to blow the horn and start the proceedings and bless the event and participating riders.
We then had Deon Meyer give a very heartwarming welcome and breakdown of the event along with all the other delegates giving us there warm welcomes.
We also had the Technical briefing by Henk the head lifeguard from See and Sand talking to the competitors about safety protocols in the water.
The guests got to enjoy the evening with good food, drinks and music with a couple traditional South African dance moves on display on the floor to end off proceedings and officially welcome the Walker Bay Pro 2022.
