The sixth day of the Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival (ABF) 2024 saw an array of impressive performances from international and local bodyboarders, marking a pivotal point in the competition. Notably, Brazilian Sergio Machado achieved the event’s first perfect score (10 points) with an extraordinary ride featuring two rolls and two tubes on a single wave.
The festival, presented by Escondida | BHP and SQM Yodo Nutrición Vegetal, continues to attract top-tier talent from around the world. The competition, held at Llacolén beach, featured massive waves and a large, enthusiastic audience.

- Sacha Damjanic and Moisés Silva: Demonstrating exceptional skills, these riders advanced to the next phase with standout performances.
- Manuel Cepeda: Overcame challenges in the repechage round, defeating Peruvian competitor Miguel Rodríguez to secure his spot in the next round.
- Maikol Pascal: Triumphed over Christopher Bayona from Peru with a score of 11.75.
- Neymara Carvalho: The legendary Brazilian bodyboarder dominated the Women’s category, winning her heat with 14.50 points.
- Paloma Freyggang and Anais Velis: Continued to represent the host nation with strong performances.
