The IBC just handed a Wildcard for the 30th Anniversary of the SINTRA BODYBOARD PRO FEST 2026 to this young up-and-comer out of Réunion Island.

Arthur Buggle is a pro bodyboarder hailing from Réunion Island, a French territory in the Indian Ocean famous for its world-class waves and for breeding some of the heavy hitters in the sport.

He competes in the Men’s Division on the IBC World Tour’s Rising Series. Buggle is known for throwing down massive, radical airs and staying completely locked in when charging heavy barrels.

His style is all about fluid flow in powerful, hollow reef breaks—a skill sharpened by ripping world-class setups like the iconic St. Leu back home, as well as gnarly European slabs.

He belongs to a new generation keeping the bodyboarding flame alive in Réunion, a powerhouse island that has massively shaped the sport through legends like Amaury Lavernhe. Buggle is part of that local crew constantly trotting the globe to compete in heavy-water arenas across the Canary Islands, Chile, Portugal, and France.
