Randa Raalhugandu, Thulusdhoo, Maldives / August 20, 2026
• Pierre-Louis Costes scores the event’s only perfect 10, takes the Men Rising Series title, and pushes his all-time record with his 61st podium.
• Japan’s Namika Yamashita claims the Women Prime Series title, while local ripper Eyan Ahmed takes top honors in the Junior division.
Finishing day at the Maldives Pro 2026 wrapped up with an unforgettable show at the legendary right-hander known as Cokes (Randa Raalhugandu). Epic conditions featuring crystal-clear barrels over turquoise water set the stage to crown the new champions across three divisions on the IBC World Tour.

Junior Men Rising Series / Final The day’s first final stacked three young guns who had already punched their tickets to the big finale at the Gran Canaria Frontón King in October.
• Eyan Ahmed (Maldives) vs. Nooh Mohamed Dhunaim Irushad (Maldives) vs. Dhaain Abdul Fathah (Maldivas): In a super tight heat, young Eyan Ahmed took the host nation’s first title of the day after a wild performance, putting up a combined score of 13.90. Nooh Mohamed (13.75) and Dhaain Abdul Fathah stayed right on his tail.
• Eyan Ahmed: “I’m super stoked to pull off the win here. I really want to encourage the juniors to compete in the Maldives Pro in the coming years. My main goal now is to hit the Gran Canaria Frontón King and go for the Junior World Title.”

Men Rising Series / Semifinals & Final The men’s division delivered heavy matchups between local legends and world-class tour vets:
• Semifinales: Pierre-Louis Costes (France) took down local favorite Ali Khushruwan after stomping a 7.40 backflip (finishing 14.40 to 13.60). In the second semi, Canary Islands’ Armide Soliveres sealed his spot against Aamin Moosa thanks to a massive 8.00 backflip.
• Final (Pierre-Louis Costes vs. Armide Soliveres): A clash of titans between two world champs. Armide came out swinging, chaining an ARS with two backflips (8.00 pts), but PLC fired right back with two backflips and an ARS (8.50 pts). The Frenchman sealed the deal with the wave of the contest—a crazy air 360 into an ARS and an inverted air—earning the event’s only perfect 10 from the judges. Stacking a record total of 18.50, Costes took the Maldives crown and extended his all-time streak to 61 pro podiums.

Women Prime Series / Semifinals & Final The women’s draw dropped top-tier performance right from the opening horn:
• Semifinales: Joana Schenker (Portugal) edged out fellow countrywoman Filipa Broeiro after mounting a comeback with a 6.75 ARS. Meanwhile, Namika Yamashita (Japan) stole her final spot in the dying seconds of a close heat led by Brazil’s Luna Hardman, launching a massive air roll on a heavy set wave for an 8.50 score.
• Final (Joana Schenker vs. Namika Yamashita): Schenker opened strong with two 6.00 rollos and a solid 6.80. Yamashita kept her rhythm from her first wave, pulling a 7.00 for a spinner-to-heavy-rollo combo, locking in a 13.55 total to secure the Maldives Pro 2026 title.
