Pascuales, Colima, Mexico — July 6, 2026

The show kicked off at 6:30 AM local time for Day 4 of the Pascuales Bodyboard Pro 2026. This historic first edition, repping as an IBC World Tour Rising Series event, is turning into an absolute banger of an international spectacle, thanks to some unreal swell delivering world class bodyboarding right here in Mexican waters.

Round 3 brought some heavy, super tight matchups. A total of 8 three man heats went down, with the top two riders from each backing their spot into the elite Round of 16.

Round 3 Highlights: Kalani Favela Sends the Local Crowd Wild

The day was all about flawless execution and massive air games pushing the limits at Pascuales’ heavy beach break:

The Kalani Favela Show: The local boy was hands down the man of the day and is looking like a serious title contender here. Favela dropped the highest single-wave score of the event so far with an insane 9.25 after locking into a deep barrel and launching a clean air reverse. On top of that, he stomped the highest combined heat total of the event so far with a 17.25. Canarian rider Lionel Medina advanced right behind him in second.

Current world No. 2, France’s Amaury Lavernhe, looked rock solid, pulling off a mind-blowing backflip with a textbook landing that the judges rewarded with an 8.00. Meanwhile, 2024 World Champ Armide Soliveres and multi-time French champ Pierre Louis Costes cruised through their heats without breaking a sweat.

Chile’s Matías Díaz absolutely dominated his heat once again. Peruvian young gun Micheel Yancce shined on the Pascuales lefts, stringing together a super fluid tube-to-el-rollo combo. Tahitian rider Tahiri Tehei also claimed one of the day’s best highlights, scoring an 8.25 after getting deeply pitted in a massive right-hander.

The local crew definitely held it down on home turf. Alfonso Aguilar put on a clinic, putting up one of the day’s highest heat totals at 15.00 points. Fellow Mexican riders Carlos Cruz, Oliver Díaz, Ronaldo Hernández, and Bryan López also smashed their goals and punched their tickets to the Round of 16.

Looking Ahead to the Finals

After a marathon day of heavy bodyboarding and non-stop adrenaline, all eyes are on the business end of the event. The next official call is set for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, at 6:00 AM local time. The remaining 16 riders are ready to go head-to-head to see who will be crowned the first-ever champion of the Pascuales Bodyboard Pro.
