A groundbreaking moment in history awaits as France hosts, for the first time ever, an international competition that will be counted as part of the JUNIOR world tour.
After its initial plans were set for last year, unfortunately disrupted by the devastating fires that swept through our territory, the Ocean Roots club team, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, is brimming with pride and joy to extend a warm welcome to the esteemed IBC staff and athletes joining them from every corner of the globe.
Set to unfold south of La Salie Nord, the sole access point that has been restored, the competition finds its home with the generous approval of the La Teste de Buch town hall. While certain restrictions may apply, rest assured that every measure will be diligently executed to preserve the sanctity of their cherished beaches and forests.
Mark your calendars for the enthralling days of August 25th to 27th when the competition graces their shores. To ensure the athletes bask in the finest wave conditions, they will meticulously select the two optimal surf days, anticipating a remarkable spectacle.
As the weekend draws to a close, the world title for girls under 18 will be bestowed upon the deserving champion, igniting a celebration of talent and tenacity. Meanwhile, the boys will fervently battle for crucial points, endeavoring to alter the standings and position themselves to vie for the ultimate title in the upcoming final event at Fronton (Canary Islands) this October.
